About Best Welding Mask
Best Welding Mask is an independent site that helps welders choose a welding helmet, mask or hood using specs the manufacturers actually publish. We started it because most “best welding helmet” lists repeat seller claims — especially “1/1/1/1” and ANSI marks — without checking them.
What we do
- Check every safety spec (shade, optical class, sensors, switching speed, certifications) against the maker's own spec sheet or manual.
- Mark anything we can only find in a seller listing as “not confirmed by manufacturer”, and never rank those helmets #1.
- Summarise buyer feedback in our own words to find real pros and cons, such as headgear that breaks or lenses that flicker.
- Recheck availability and price bands regularly and log changes on each page.
What we don't do
We haven't lab-tested these helmets and don't claim to. Where we add hands-on notes in future, they'll appear in a clearly labelled “Hands-on notes” section on the review. We don't publish fake reviewers, credentials or stock-photo experts.
Editorial policy
- Rankings: set by our published method, not by commission rates.
- Sponsored placements: if a brand ever pays for a placement, it's labelled “Featured partner” wherever it appears.
- Safety specs: shown as fact only with a manufacturer source; conflicts between maker and listing go to the maker.
- Corrections: email hello@bestweldingmask.com. We fix confirmed safety-spec errors first and note the change in the page changelog.
